As a new entity created in 2007, the Creative Doctors Network (CDN) is an exciting networking group run by doctors for doctors and welcomes creative doctors from all fields.

Role of the AMA
AMA has supported the CDN, since its inception, keenly monitoring its growth and development.

From the outset, the CDN quickly established itself as a much-needed creative outlet for doctors. Not surprisingly, the CDN database expanded rapidly, capturing the imagination of doctors Australia-wide and attracting extensive media interest.

Now that the CDN has reached a critical mass stage, the CDN will be subsumed by AMA (NSW) and will be now known as AMA (NSW) Creative Doctors Network. Through the CDN, the AMA will now be able to offer AMA members a unique opportunity to further explore and nurture their creative interests. It will be another benefit on top of the many existing AMA benefits and services.

All CDN meetings (i.e. quarterly events, annual festival and monthly writing meetings) are held at the Conference Centre at AMA House, St Leonards. As CDN meetings are now AMA events, they will be FREE for AMA members.
 

CDN is part of AMA Membership
Unfortunately you cannot opt to join the CDN separately.

By joining the AMA, you are automatically entitled to participate and attend all CDN events for FREE. In contrast, non-AMA members pay full price at each meeting (currently $30 at the door).

If you decide to join the AMA, there is also an additional benefit to the CDN. There exists an AMA incentive that allows new members to direct a 25% rebate of their first annual membership payment to CDN – as long as you nominate the “CDN” as the reason for joining (i.e. referring a new member). This rebate will help fund CDN’s many planned projects and activities.

All members of the CDN executive committee are current AMA Members.
