About the Awards

The past few years have been challenging and now more than ever, it is important to recognise the contributions of Doctors-In-Training and those who support them, and celebrate their achievements.

The 2022 awards are:

  • DIT of the Year
  • Registrar of the Year
  • Supervisor of the Year

Each award category will attract a prize of $500 and framed certificate.

Who can nominate?

Anyone can nominate someone for an award. You may nominate yourself.

Why should I nominate someone?

Nominating someone allows you the opportunity to show your appreciation for their contributions by recognising an inspiring colleague or supervisor.

Criteria

The nominations must demonstrate a consistent, compassionate and inspiring contribution to patients, colleagues and healthcare community. Please include measurable evidence of you (or your nominee) having achieved excellence in your (or their) field.

DIT OF THE YEAR

The nominee must demonstrate clinical excellence, proficiency in advocacy, mentoring and support of fellow colleagues and a significant contribution to prevocational medical education and training.

REGISTRAR OF THE YEAR

The nominee must demonstrate clinical excellence, proficiency in advocacy, mentoring and support of fellow colleagues and a significant contribution to prevocational medical education and training.

SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR

The nominee must be respected by DITs and demonstrate excellence in leadership, teaching skills and have a reputation for supporting DITs in their day-to-day work and their broader profession.
