DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Who should attend? \nAny doctors (or their practice managers) who: \n\nemploy staff directly or are involved in staffing decisions for their practice (with or without a practice manager);\nintend to hire new staff or renegotiate any new staff contracts/arrangements soon;\nhaven’t reviewed their employees’ contracts for a while (or who don’t have any in place); and/or\naren’t aware of their compliance obligations under the Fair Work Act and/or Modern Awards.\n\nParticipants will: \n\nLearn about the key risks for practice principals under the Fair Work Act\, including personal liability for civil penalties (eg\, for sole trader doctors\, company directors\, key decision makers and anyone else ‘involved in’ breaches of the Act or Awards);\nIdentify key strategies for managing those risks\, including identifying the key compliance obligations under the Fair Work Act\, and assessing whether or how their own practice meets them;\nLearn how to read\, understand and comply with the two key Modern Awards that apply to employed practice staff; and\nReview and discuss AMA (NSW)’s suite of contracts for private practice employees\, including:\n\nhow they help protect your practice\nhow to access them\nwhat they say (and why)\nwhich one to choose (and when)\nhow to implement them in a manner appropriate for your practice\nthe importance of ongoing review of contracts.\n\n\n\nOther dates / venues for this seminar: \n\nFriday\, 5 April 2019 – Magenta\nFriday\, 17 May 2019 – St Leonards\nFriday\, 16 August 2019 – Penrith area\n\nPlease note: \n\nThere is a refundable $50 booking fee for this event for AMA (NSW) Members.
