  • Managing privacy and health records in your practice [Moderated by Dr Brian Morton, Past President of AMA (NSW)]
  • Sustainable/practical fees and billing [Moderated by Dr Kean-Seng Lim, Vice President of AMA (NSW)]


Dr David Rankin, Senior Medical Adviser, Commonwealth Department of Health

Dr Rankin works in the Professional Review Section, Provider Benefits Integrity Division. The team intervenes with health practitioners under the department’s Practitioner Review Program where there is a concern of possible inappropriate practice under Medicare.

Dominique Egan, Partner, TressCox Lawyers

Ms Egan specialises in the provision of advice to health and aged care professionals and organisations regarding commercial and contractual matters, administrative law, professional conduct and industrial matters.

Caroline Ucherek, Managing Director, CJU Medical Marketing

Ms Ucherek is a professional marketer with extensive experience gained in small to large business in different industry sectors including healthcare, retirement and development.

Josephine Montgomery, Medico-legal and risk advisor, Avant

Ms Montgomery is a lawyer and a nurse. Prior to her current role at Avant, she held many senior clinical, educational and advisory roles, including as a clinical nurse specialist (ICU), and after hours nurse manager at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Rafic Habib, Founder, Clinic to Cloud

Having spent almost two decades in the health space, Mr Habib has an appreciation for the level of pressure and intensity the sector falls under in both the private and public systems. Mr Habib founded Clinic to Cloud, which provides cloud-based medical practice management software, designed for specialists and clinical staff.

David Bailey, Owner, Professional Management Solutions (PMS)

PMS specialises in business establishment, review, management and development to assist organisations and teams to achieve their goals.

Stuart Chan, Specialist Medical Service Division Director , Cutcher & Neale

With over 18 years’ experience Stuart provides comprehensive advice to medical practitioners, with a particular focus on how doctors should structure their financial affairs, including growth strategies and effective structuring for medical practices.

Gae Nuttall, Risk Adviser, MDA National

Gae believes that implementing good practice systems minimises risk to both doctors and their practice staff, while providing quality health care. Gae is a registered nurse, with extensive experience in GP education.
