Join the Doctors-in-Training Committee if you want to take a more active role in the leadership of the AMA (NSW) and advocate on issues of importance to Doctors-in-Training. The Committee determines the direction of our policy and advocacy for interns, residents and registrars.

2024 INTERNS
INTERN SPOTLIGHT: Dr Farihah Alam
What University did you graduate from medicine? University of Newcastle
Where will you be interning in 2023? The Hunter New England Network, mainly based at John Hunter Hospital
What are your goals for your medical career? Currently, my goal is to dual train in both Paediatrics and Psychiatry. I also have a keen interest in continuing to work in regional/rural communities after so many positive experiences during medical school.

What University did you graduate medicine? University of Wollongong
Where will you be interning in 2023? Illawarra and Shoalhaven LHD
What are your goals for your medical career? Currently I am looking forward to starting my internship with the aim of improving my general medical knowledge and skills. I'm excited and nervous for the year ahead! For the future I am interested in pursuing a career in critical care, possibly emergency medicine, and am also interested in being involved in medical education.
