Visiting Medical Officers in the NSW Public Hospital System who apply for re-appointment as a Visiting Medical Officer and are unsuccessful, may have rights of appeal against the decision of the Local Health District under the provisions of the Health Services Act 1997. There are also rights of appeal for Visiting Medical Officers whose appointment may be suspended to terminated or who have their clinical privileges reduced.
