What doctors at this hospital are saying
What do you value most about your hospital?
“Excellent training and learning opportunities in a supported environment.”
“The patient variety that is facilitated by the high caseload and thus the expertise to learn from. It is a very nice place physically – clean, nothing looks/feels old.”
“Work culture, friendliness of staff, consideration of safe work hours.”
If you could change three things at your hospital what would they be?
“1. Access to tea room / private space to eat lunch (not at computer desk) 2. Better coverage of sick leave 3. Better communication.”
“1. Rostering – Covid has screwed things up but the number of changes to the roster and unfair (term 1 interns working nights) or understaffed shifts is noticeable. 2. Leave allocation – I wish we were able to split our annual leave up like other hospitals instead of being forced to take it in a four week block. 3. Another night JMO, when the hospital is busy the night shift can become very unmanageable very quickly.”
“More support outside of work e.g focus on wellbeing, socials, mental health support.”
